Had not been a Michael's in a while. They have a few more things than the last time I shopped there. Notably sewing items. Not fabric but notions (thread, needles, etc.). They are fully automated at the pay stations. I had an issue with how to enter coupons. The was a manager in front and she advised how to add then to the check out process. Overall, the auto mated process is faster than the traditional cashiers of the past.

Extremely limited sewing supplies & fabric. Supposedly this is the substitute for Joann's. Ok resource for beginners to explore. I'm conflicted if I will return, not sure if I will have a choice.

Unimpressed with some of the employees who work here. All look generally un happy to be here and though some when asked where something is will show you others will just say its over there. But the part that really just peeved me was when I got the the register finishing up with a customer she said the self check out is over there and I said "I know I dont want to uses self check out, I'll wait" not in a rush, not upset, just stood a little to the side so customers behind me could go forward if they wanted to do self check out could, quietly and calmly. Then when she was done with the person at the register she walked around and said 'come on ill help you uses it" and I said "I didn't need help using it I just didnt want to but if you are going to make me then it's whatever" and she said "im mostly standing there for returns" and then proceeded to check out another customer who was behind me (who wasnt returning anything from what I could see) . The whole point of me not using self check out is because I prefer customer service and to support real people being employeed over technology but based off of the service here I can see why they prefer self check out. This store is conveniently located on a main street and not far from shops, food and PCC. Big parking lot, well lit at night. The staff has been polite, and helpful at checkout and with questions. By the way, Michael's is self check-out. They have everything, well almost! They sell balloons and the service to fill with helium. They have so many choices for great craft items, hobby items, frames, everyday home goods and gift ideas. Definitely go and check it out for yourself.

I had a very frustrating experience this morning. After purchasing a balloon last night only to find it deflated less than 12 hours later, I returned to the store for assistance. The employees I spoke to demonstrated unwilling customer service. They flat-out refused to help or were clearly unhappy to assist with a simple request to refill the faulty balloon. This level of poor service, especially when dealing with a product failure, is unacceptable.
